Vaettirs - their essences salvage into 4-5 piles of dust.

Farm Raptors for Great Conch's, get some highly salvageable inscripts and slap them on gold conchs, and salvage with simple salvage kits, you'll get anywhere from 75 to 180 piles of dust each time. I get 7-8 stacks of dust easily doing this method in a few hours.

Agree with this 100% they drop in piles of 20-38 here as well as scalps which you can salvage. You can also get a good amount of salvaged iron & plant fibres too.
If you want to mix it up a little there are plenty of dark remains in FOW which salvage for 15 each. Happy hunting |

I'd x2 the raptor suggestion: great conch + measure for measure. A stack in 2 to 3 conches.

I'm OK with both suggetsions above however....
To farm raptors you need to have a very specific build (ive only seen wars. doing it recently) and the drops drops off very quickly, even with leechers. The fog nightmare run south of temple is also good but again drops seem to drops off quite quickly. These areas have been so overfarmed that they have become defunct. Time to find new ones?? The vaetari farm?? Maybe but its not the best. Dead things drop dust, but not at at good rate, however if you can solo the first lvl of shards dungeon that can bring in a sizable amount and the other drops can be quite good. A safe bet would be farming the shadow army in FoW for dark remains, i've been farming around the tower of strength and have built up some research that averages 9 dark remains per run (average taken from 132 runs). Dark remains salvage into 14 dust..so 2 runs gives you over a stack. Unfortunatly it costs 1k to get into FoW, no problem, you should get (on average) 1 shard per run...plus a Scroll every 2 runs (thats what my stats are showing at the moment). After that, lots of places in EotN, have areas where you can farm dust dropping stuff. have fun |

Anyway, I second both Raptors/Conches and FoWSC. I do both with my warrior and have tons of dust. |

Farm the fog nightmares.
Once you see the minotaurs that's the end of the run. Be sure to kill all of the "tree critters" too, I forget their name, but they're the monks. Kill them for plant fibers, which is pretty expensive too. |

Hmm , i think its easier to break things down
Raptors - usually w/n or n/w ( tho /w does exist ) but has a slight downside which is in setting up the skillbar.2 skills are eotn title skills and usually require both reaching either a high title rank for them or getting near end of eotn ( by uriels hammer for eg ).So if your warrior hasnt done eotn they you will have a bit of work to do before you even get to farm raptors - also you will need hm. Vaetires are easier to reach if you have hm already on the account as you only need to do a few norn quests to reach and complete blood washes blood.Several professions can farm vaetires ( pvx wiki has builds ) and you dont really require a high eotn titile , ele has non title skillbar and sin/mes only needs 1 eotn skill which i think was easy to get. Fog nightmares - any /rt spirit spammer can farm them easily enough as well as a fire nuker ele ( pbaoe version ) and i recall there was an actual thread within the last yr which covered fogs and gave builds and far as i recall all the builds are still usable. Cronk - i think they are confusing scalps with the remains the fogs drop altho i get a slight feeling there may be caromi somewhere in talmark ( not 100% sure ). Lastly to the op - all this has been covered before in numerous posts on dust farming , feather farming and conset farming ( and im assuming your conset farming because of the quantity of dust your after ). Id also suggest doing a forum search for dust farming for an even wider scope of places to farm it solo as those mentioned are only a few of whats available - even nightingale001 made a thread in farming section to do with conset farming and that has dust places in it. |

Any "ghostly" foe drops essence that can be salvaged into Glittering Dust, so the choice is really high...

one fairly easy way to get glittering dust is outside the sunspear great hall. solo the spiders in hard mode.. pretty easy.. then salvage the web. u can salvage web into silk and then again into a glitterdust pile.

Not specifically farming dusts, but I seem to be getting a nice amount of feathers/dust/bones every time I do the Nahpui mission. I can imagine farming this mission would net a nice amount of materials (as well as the possible celestial drops)

I checked a list of all critters in talmark and their are no caromi. The nightmares drop shadowy remnants. nothing scalp related there.
Cronk. Ps for what its worth, my vote is definately FOW for dust. |
